With the rapid growth of IoT applications worldwide, cybersecurity has become a critical focus. The European Union’s RED framework provides guidelines to ensure the safety, performance, and security of wireless devices. To address emerging security challenges, the EU introduced the Delegated Act (я) 2022/30, extending RED requirements to include connectivity security, personal data protection, and fraud prevention. Effective August 1, 2025, the updated directive sets higher security standards for connected devices entering the EU market, ensuring comprehensive protection for consumers and businesses alike.
Dahua’s certified wireless product underwent a thorough evaluation process conducted by TÜV SÜD, a globally recognized testing and certification authority. The assessment covered key aspects of the product’s cybersecurity performance, ensuring its ability to meet the EU’s stringent requirements for secure communication and data protection. Successfully achieving this certification demonstrates Dahua’s capability to deliver solutions that comply with these rigorous standards, providing customers with secure and compliant solutions for the modern IoT ecosystem.
At the certification ceremony, Mr. Ramkumar Prabhu, Vice President, Head of Cybersecurity North Asia, TÜV SÜD, presented the RED certification to Dahua Technology. “The RED cybersecurity certification reflects the high level of scrutiny required to meet EU regulatory standards.
